Sometimes less is more and that certainly is the case when you want to spend some quality time with a girl. If you make reservations at the best restaurant in town and have front row tickets to a premier sold out show, there’s a high expectation for having a good night, as well as a hefty bill. This expectation can put pressure on both you and the girl you’re spending time with, which can prevent things from working out so well. Instead of going to extraordinary lengths for a girl you want to spend time with, try something simple for a change.

1. Play In A Playground
The first thing you can do with a girl for free is to play in a playground. The great thing about playing in a playground is that there are so many things you can do. They’re designed to keep energetic kids with short attention spans busy, so you and your girl should be able to keep yourselves distracted without too much trouble. There are always plenty of things to do in a playground:

• Swing on the swings
• Race down the slides
• Scare her on the see saw
• Play in the sand

If you’re lucky, the playground you visit will be filled with happy little kids, which spreads a lot of positive energy around. Another great thing about playgrounds is that they make it really easy to have really interesting conversations about siblings, childhood, growing up, etc. The next time you’re trying to do something spontaneous with a girl and drive by a playground, hop out of the car and have some fun.

2. Have Sex
This one is a no brainer, but is still one of the most enjoyable things you can do with a girl for free. Having sex will help you burn calories, relieve stress, and have fun.

3. Volunteer
Volunteering is a great way to spend time with a girl while giving back the community, and it doesn’t even cost a penny. It’s easy to find volunteer opportunities online using sites like volunteermatch.org where you can search for volunteer opportunities by location, keyword, and preferred age group. If she enjoys spending time with kids, animals, or the elderly, there is plenty of volunteer work out there for both of you to take on.

4. Make A Bonfire On The Beach
Bonfires are great during the summer months when the nights are a little warmer. There’s a certain intimacy that can be achieved by spending time with another person in front of a fire late at night. Conversations tend to have more depth and length which makes it easier to get to know the girl you’re spending time with. Bonfires, beaches, and alone time also is a simple recipe for romance.

5. Have A Thumb War
If you’re waiting for a movie or are taking a ride on the bus, challenge her to a thumb war. Let her win once in a while and tease her about how freakishly strong she is.

6. Go For A Jog
If you’re struggling to find things to do, put on some shorts and your running shoes and go on a jog with her. You’ll both be getting some good exercise and will be doing something more productive than sitting around and watching TV. If you make a routine out of it, you’ll have more excuses to see her in the future.

7. Pull Out Some Old Board Games
Another great way to spend time with a girl without spending money is to play some old board games like Scrabble, Monopoly, Guess Who, Chinese Checkers etc. Playing board games like these can be especially interesting if both of you don’t know how to play the game you choose and have to fumble around and learn how to play. A little friendly competition is a great way to have fun with a girl and to get to know her better. In addition to board games, some old toys might do the trick. Playing around with a Magic 8-Ball and asking it silly questions can also be fun.
